Leather Spindle Case

This handcrafted spindle travel case is a marriage of functionality and fine crafts(woman)ship.

Its purpose-built design – a hard cylindrical leather shell with a secure slide-on lid which offers excellent protection for drop spindles and supported spindles. 

The specially selected Italian Buttero leather in ochre yellow provides a robust exterior that will develop character over time, aging gracefully. Inside, the Liberty Ianthe cotton lining brings a splash of artistic heritage to the piece.

High-quality brass hardware ensures reliable performance and adds to the classic look, all while being rust-resistant.

With no conspicuous branding, the piece retains a timeless, versatile style that can accompany any craftsperson.

Dimensions: This cylindrical case is sized to comfortably accommodate standard spindles and related accessories. Its dimensions are clearly outlined for a precise understanding of its capacity and portability:

• Height (closed): 10 inches (approximately 25.4 cm)

• Diameter: 5 inches (approximately 12.7 cm)

• Circumference: 16 inches (approximately 40.6 cm)

These measurements indicate a compact yet spacious container, tall enough for most spindles and wide enough to fit them without tight squeezing. The form-factor is convenient for packing into luggage or a crafting bag. Additionally, the case features a carrying strap that is made-to-measure, meaning the strap length is customised to the buyer’s preference. This adjustable leather strap can be tailored to ensure a comfortable carry, whether you prefer to sling it over a shoulder or carry it by hand.

Lead Times: There are only 5 slots remaining this year to have a case tailor made for you. Cases can be personalised and made in different colours, please get in touch with me if you have any questions regarding this and I can provide you with a bespoke quote. 

We ship orders Monday to Thursdays, any orders placed on these days before 12pm will ship the same day orders placed after 12pm with ship the following day. We aim to get everything out to you as quickly and timely as possible, sometimes in busy periods it can take us an additional couple of days to process. 

Orders

Your order will be shipped by Royal Mail, International orders will be handed to your local delivery service to complete the delivery. Every order is sent out tracked (unless otherwise stated) this is so that your order arrives quickly and in the best condition possible. 

Hide & Hammer is IOSS registered and GSPR compliant meaning we are very happy to ship your orders to the EU. All EU orders under 150 Euro (postage is excluded from this rate) ship without any additional fees. Meaning that the price you pay at check out is all you'll pay. Orders over 150 Euros will be given the option of how you would like your order shipped.
